Falafel: Two of my sisters have gone to Israel for a study abroad and they got me hooked on falafel. So thanks Jenny and Kat! We eat it a lot at our house because it is so quick and easy and so good. You can buy it as a dry mix that you just have to add water to and shape into balls or patties and fry them up in a little olive oil. Apparently there are some gross brands of falafel mix out there - but I like Telma brand - it's a good one. They are traditionally served in pitas but my grocery store carries Naan bread that I like to warm in the oven and fold over like a pita. I like mine with tomato and cucumber, hummus, and a little sour cream. Daniel even loves it. What an international palate he has! P.S. For those of you living in CT, you should definately try Layla's Falafel in Stamford - it's excellent!
