Chocolate Malted Cookies

Chocolate Malted Cookies

1C. Butter Flavored Shortening
1 1/4C. Packed Brown Sugar
1/2 C. Malted Milk Powder
2T. Chocolate Syrup
1T. Vanilla
1 Egg
2 C. All Purpose Flour
1 tsp. Baking Soda
1/2 tsp. Salt
3/4 C. Semisweet Chocolate Chunks
3/4 C. Milk Chocolate Chips


Combine first five ingredients; beat for 2 min. Add egg. Combine the flour, baking soda, and salt; gradually add to creamed mixture. Stir in chocolate chunks & chips. Shape into 2 in. balls and place 3 in. apart on ungreased baking sheet. Bake @ 350 for 10-12 min. Cool 2 min--then remove to wire rack. Yield: 1 1/2 doz.
