Creamy Lemon Squares


Creamy Lemon Squares:


CRUST- 20 vanilla wafers, crushed, 1/2 cup flour, 1/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar, 1/4 cup butter

FILLING- 8 oz. cream cheese, softened, 1 cup sugar, 2 eggs, 2 tbs. flour, 3 tbs. lemon zest, 1/4 cup lemon juice, 1/4 tsp. baking powder.


Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Press the crumb mixture into the bottom of an 8" square pan. Bake 15 min. Meanwhile beat together ingredients for the filling. Pour over crust. Bake 25-28 min or until center is set. Cool completely. Cover and refrigerate overnight. Sprinke with powdered sugar before cutting into squares.
