My sister Emily makes these a lot and they have since become a staple in our menu rotation. Easy and good. They also make great leftovers.
Sweet and Sour Meatballs:
1 to 1 1/2 lbs. lean ground beef
3/4 cup rolled oats
2 eggs slightly beaten
1/2 cup finely chopped onion
1/2 cup milk
1 tsp. salt
pepper
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
Combine all ingredients and form into balls (makes about 12 balls - 2 inches in diameter). Cover with the sauce below and bake at 350 for about 30 min. Serve with rice.
Sauce: (Double this if you prefer extra sauce)
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup vinegar
1 tsp. prepared mustard
1/4 cup barbeque sauce
1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
Combine and pour over meatballs before baking.
